Bhujangasana

Part of the fun of being a new parent is wondering and watching what the Next Big Thing will be. I haven’t read up on what the general developmental order is, so for me its even a bigger surprise. I have heard that sitting up and crawling is coming soon, but it turns out Kari has been teaching the boy something a little more refined.

In the photo below, you will notice Tory performing what, in yoga, is called The Cobra, or if your into it the Bhujangasana. The form isn’t quite perfect, but you can see the deep concentration in his eyes to keep his head up and arms extended, while simultaneously keeping his buttocks relaxed. This pose is said to relieve the stresses of life, and the heavy demands that come with multiple daily naps, and the eating in between.

Should I worry that he’s learning such advanced moves so quickly? I don’t think so. But if I see him doing this any time soon…
