I wasn’t able to make this one, but Kari and the kids went down to Red Butte Garden in Salt Lake to celebrate Jarrett and Mel’s anniversary. Red Butte is, of course, where they were married and Mel’s parents, Jim and Olive were also there. Looks like they had a lot of fun, it’s really too bad I missed it. Good thing Kari took the camera!

Christmas 2009

Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, T1, Dad, T2, Uncle, Bacon, Aunt, Ike

Not that there’s a lot of pictures to prove it, but Christamas ’09 was great. Grandpa and Grandma Moe braved a winter storm to travel across country to be with us through the New Year. (They even endured a night in – gasp – Lincoln, Nebraska! Oh, the humanity!)

Mel and Jarrett were over at our place quite a bit, there was lots of food and even an Irish car bomb or two.

I’m not sure what my deal was, but I didn’t take too many pictures, and many of the ones I did were a bit blurry. Blame the car bombs?

It’s been a craaaazy last few months, which is a sad sad sad excuse for me not posting anything on the kids. I’ll be adding lots soon as there’s much to catch up on. For those of you who can’t get enough of Halloween, even after Thanksgiving, here’s how ours went this year.

It’s been a couple of weeks now (Judging from my timeliness, they must have been very busy weeks?) but Grandpa and Grandma Moe came to visit, along with Tracy, Marcus, and Jacob. They were able to rent the condo directly above us, which allowed us to be together quite a bit without being directly on top of one another, (ba-dump-dump) in the figurative way. There was hiking and walks, dinners in and a little wine, a concert at Deer Valley and a 5am stake out. Click on the above photo, there’s a few more shots where that came from.

Labor Day campout

I realize its been a while since the site has been updated, but I have a real, live excuse. Ever since I killed my camera, I’ve had a hard time finding a reason to post. Not that this is a photo blog, or that nothing interesting has happened in Tory’s life recently, but I’m a camera snob, and even though we have a decent point and shoot (I should say Kari has a decent point and shoot) I don’t use it. Out of principal. So until I get a camera I can call my own (soon, it’ll be a Nikon D300) you’ll have to suffer a few images with me along side the boy instead of my lovely wife.

Anyway, we went on a weekend camp trip up into the Uinta mountains on Labor Day, and had a couple of beautiful days hiking around and throwing rocks. I’m working on the boy’s overhand throwing abilities and they are coming along. I even let him throw stuff in the house.
