North Wash is becoming a traditional place for our kid canyoneering adventures due to it’s easy access to a wide variety of canyons. I’m a bit short on pictures here, but this gallery contains images from our day in Horseplay.
Horseplay is rated 2A, which essentially means it’s dry and easy. None of us had ever been through before and we assumed it would be as easy as doing Ding & Dang. Turns out what’s easy for adult sized people may be less so for those 3 feet and under. This canyon was a true team test, with kids being passed along from adult to adult. All in all it was a fun day but the adult stress level was, uh… elevated. Kids had fun though.
We never actually finished the canyon, opting to take an escape route just above a tough spot about 2/3 the way through.
