Every summer we try to get out for an overnighter with the kids somewhere. Usually it’s been in the Uintas for one night. Pack it all into a couple of backpacks, and get the kids to hike in. Years ago this was quite a feat, but lately it’s not so tough. They love to hike – well mabye not LOVE, but they don’t complain too much and they definitely love to camp. After missing out on an overnight last year we got back into the groove at Wall Lake in the Uintas. The hike in is pretty easy and we enjoyed a really nice night on the lake, hiking up above in the late afternoon.
The next day we decided to hike out the long way, going up above the lake and finding a loop to the south. We ran into Brad, Tai, and Aspen near the end – we kinda knew they’d be there – and spent some time fishing and climbing with them.
