I’ve mentioned how hard it was this year to get river permits, so when the opportunity to get on the Main Salmon though a discounted guided trip, we took it. Like the Lower Salmon trip, this was pretty smoky most of the way, but still such a beautiful stretch. The best part of this trip was all the friends who made it. Many friends who have never been on the river or would have been able to come on our self-guided trips. The Hanson’s all made it, and so did my high school friend Jeff. Thanks to Pete Stoughton for putting it all together.
I won’t mention too much how disappointed we all were with the guides…
