A couple site improvements have been made in the last week:
A Better Gallery
A new version of the image gallery has been created. The link is now called, of all things, “Gallery,” and it takes you to a flash version of the old “Pictures” page. This version provides a nice interface to view images, and an easier way to choose albums. You’ll no longer be able to download large versions of the images, but since nobody really did that, I’m not too worried about it. If you do happen to want any images, you can contact me and I’ll put together a package that I’ll either email to you, or provide a place where you can download them.
Goodbye Godaddy!
Up until last week the site had been hosted by GoDaddy.com, which had been a fairly decent partner with us. The reason that I chose to host with them was based purely on price, and for that, they can hardly be beat. But, you get what you pay for, and I’d grown tired of the slow speed that comes with shared hosting, and the lack of a few features. Couple that with the fact that I’ve started a small web hosting company with my design partner, and you can see a move was inevitable. So we have moved over to our new host, Cinch Hosting, and we couldn’t be more pleased. If you’d like more info on Cinch, contact me and I’ll tell you all about it.
